Maggie

Born on 2015   |   Shepherd mix   |   Female   |   Large

As one of the older residents of the shelter, Maggie is especially calm and easy-going. Coming from a brutal past, she has endured more than the average rescued dog, and as a result, has developed a type of silent strength and resilience of character. Since she is so mellow, it comes as no surprise that her favorite pastimes include sleeping and lounging! Her calm demeanor and low energy make her the perfect companion for someone who wants a furry friend to cuddle with and nap beside. She’s incredibly gentle and intelligent, and she walks perfectly on a leash a You’ll be amazed at how quickly she steals your heart. Despite her past abuse, she has a forgiving and trusting nature, and adores humans and kids. Her easy-going nature also suggests that she could be a great fit for a household with cats.

An animal abuse video went viral of a dog chained to a truck and being beaten so vigorously by a man – this dog was Maggie. She also had tumor and was not being treated.
